It can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the financial pressures of our modern world. From student loans to credit card debt to the ever-rising cost of living, it can feel like there's never enough money to go around. But as believers, we know that God is the ultimate provider and that He wants to bless us financially.
So, in order to align our hearts and minds with God's truth, here are five declarations of faith that we can speak over our finances:
We still need to work hard, make wise financial decisions, and trust in God's provision. One of the ways that we can open ourselves up to these blessings is through the act of giving. When we give, whether it be our time, our resources, or our talents, we are showing God that we trust Him to provide for us and that we are willing to be a blessing to others.
Making a dedication and commitment to give, whether through tithing or other means, is not just about giving money to the church, it's about recognizing that God is our source and that everything we have comes from Him. When we give, we are saying, "God, I trust that you will provide for me and that I don't have to hold on to my resources tightly. I am willing to bless others with what you've given me."
When we make this dedication and commitment to give, we open ourselves up to the blessings of God!
So, in order to align our hearts and minds with God's truth, here are five declarations of faith that we can speak over our finances:
- "I declare that God is my source. I trust in Him to provide for all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
- "I declare that I am blessed to be a blessing. I will use my resources to help others and to further God's kingdom." (Genesis 12:2)
- "I declare that I am free from the love of money and the fear of lack. I trust that God will meet all of my needs according to His will." (1 Timothy 6:10)
- "I declare that I am a good steward of the resources God has entrusted to me. I will use my money and possessions wisely and responsibly." (Matthew 25:14-30)
- "I declare that I have the power to create wealth. Through hard work, wise investments, and obedience to God's word, I will prosper in every area of my life." (Proverbs 13:11)
